Conferences and Workshops

The Dublin Core Metadata Initiative Conference and Workshop Series gathers experts from various areas in the private and public sectors, including the library world, the networking and digital library research communities, corporate knowledge management, e-government and public sector information. Initially organized as a series of invitational workshops with a main focus at the definition and finalization of the Dublin Core metadata standards, this has developed into an annual get-together of people involved in the work of DCMI and other metadata activities. Since 2001, the event includes a Tutorial track, a peer-reviewed Conference track, Special Sessions and Working Group meetings attended by hundreds of experts in the field from many countries around the world.

DC-2007 Guest of Honour confirmed, program updated

, The Organizing Committee of DC-2007, to be held 27-31 August 2007 in Singapore, is pleased to announce that the Guest of Honour at the conferenceng will be Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Singapore's Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports and Second Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts. The conference program has been updated and now contains the titles and presenters of the Conference Papers, as well as more information on the workshop and special sessions.
